Chess Club

The deadline to register is Monday, September 18, 2023.

 

Chess Club will begin on Wednesday, September 6, 2023. 

 

There is no cost to participate and no experience is needed for students in Grades 3, 4, and 5.

 

This is NOT a drop-in club. Students who wish to participate in Chess Club must be signed up for the program.

 

Meetings will be held 1-2 times per month on Wednesdays, immediately after school from 3:45 to 4:15 PM.

* Meeting dates may be adjusted or cancelled due to school closures or lack of volunteers.

 

PickUp Patrol (new this year!)

Be sure to change your child's pickup instructions for the day of the club using Pickup Patrol.

  • Select "Other" from the drop-down menu of options.

  • In the "More Info" field, type in "Chess Club".

  • Don't forget to click the "Submit" button when you are done. Please remember to make these changes no later than 3:00PM on the day of the club meeting.

Car/Bus Riders & Y-Care

  • Students who are normally car riders or bus riders must be picked up from school at 4:15 PM.

  • There is NO bus service for Chess Club participants.

  • A parent volunteer will walk students out to the car loop to meet you at 4:15 PM.

  • Students who attend Y-Care will be escorted to the Y-Care staff after the meeting.

Parent Volunteers Needed

We MUST have Parent Volunteers to make our program successful! Please consider signing up to join us in Chess Club (no chess experience needed!).
