About Chess Club
There is no cost to participate, and no experience is needed for students in Grades 3–5.
Chess Club is not a drop-in club. Students who wish to participate must be registered for the program.
Meetings will be held on the first Thursday of each month immediately after school, from 3:45 to 4:30 p.m.

Meeting dates may be adjusted or canceled due to school closures or a lack of volunteers.
Pickup Patrol
Be sure to change your child's pickup instructions for the day of the club using Pickup Patrol.
- Select Other from the drop-down menu of options.
- In the More Info field, enter Chess Club.
- Click Submit when you are finished. Please make these changes no later than 3 p.m. on the day of the club meeting.
Car, Bus, and Y-Care
- Students who are normally car riders or bus riders must be picked up from school at 4:30 p.m.
- There is no bus service for Chess Club participants.
- A parent volunteer will walk students to the car loop to meet you at 4:30 p.m.
- Students who attend Y-Care will be escorted to the Y-Care staff after the meeting.
Parent Volunteers Needed
We need parent volunteers to make our program successful! Please consider signing up to join us in Chess Club. No chess experience is needed.
