No. A parent or other adult MUST remain with their student for the entire the event. This is not a "drop-off" dance.

Will food be served?
Yes! Sandwiches, cookies, and drinks will be served and are all included in the ticket price. Unfortunately we will not be able to accomodate for any food allergies this year. No alcohol will be served at this event.
What is the theme this year?
Our 2025 Sweetheart Dance theme is "Hearts Aglow!" There will be black lights and glow-in-the dark decorations to create a vibrant and fun atmosphere.

Will the dance be accessible and sensory-friendly?
Absolutely! We're making every effort to ensure the Sweetheart Dance is a fun and inclusive experience for everyone. Here's how:
- Accessible Location: The dance will be held in the Commons/Cafeteria and Gymnasium at OTMS, which are fully accessible to wheelchair, walker, and cane users.
- Chill Out Space: The Commons/Cafeteria, which is where food will be served, will be a quieter area for attendees who need a break from the music, flashing lights, and overall hustle and bustle of the gymnasium.
- Sensory Considerations: Feel free to bring noise-canceling headphones, sunglasses, or personal fidget items for additional comfort.
If you have any specific requests or accommodation needs, please don't hesitate to reach out to us at waysandmeans@vpepto.org. We want everyone to feel welcome and able to enjoy the dance at their own pace.
Questions? Please contact Marion During at waysandmeans@vpepto.org.
This event is a fundraiser for the PTO and all proceeds will go back into the programs and services that we provide to VPE.
