VPE First LEGO League
First Lego League will be back for the 2025-2026 school year! To register your child for this year, you will pay a $25 registration fee to help cover the kit costs and team t-shirts!
PTO is excited bring back another year of the First LEGO League (FLL) teams to VPE! This after-school program will be open to students in kindergarten through 4th grade, ages 5 thru 10*. Students who join FLL must be able to attend ALL team meetings.
* per FLL regulations, students who turn age 11 during this school year (Aug 2025- May 2026) are NOT eligible to join the Explore team.
If you are interested in learning more about FLL and would consider volunteering to coach a team, please come to the LEGO Parent Information meeting on Wednesday, September XX, 2025 from 4:20 to 5:00 PM, in the VPE Library.
FIRST LEGO League Explore is designed to inspire, excite and introduce kids to the wonders of science, technology and engineering. Students will work in a team of up to 6 kids.
The Explore program:

teaches the benefits of teamwork;
-
sparks initial interest in science and technology;
-
introduces basic design skills through a hands-on approach with the familiarity and fun of LEGO building; and
-
provides a culture of sharing and learning from others.
Students who wish to join the team must commit to attend all meetings, as well as the showcase event in the spring (March/April). Meetings will be held 1-2 times per month on Wednesdays, immediately after school from 3:45 to 4:30 PM.
