About Our PTO

The Valley Park Elementary PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) supports our students, staff, and families by sponsoring programs, activities, and events that strengthen learning and build community.

Our Mission

The VPE PTO is dedicated to supporting the students, teachers, staff, and families of Valley Park Elementary. We work to enhance the educational experience of our students, support our school community, and create opportunities for families to connect and get involved.

Board of Directors

The PTO is led by a volunteer Board of Directors who provide leadership, financial oversight, communication, and strategic direction for the organization.

  • President — Serves as the primary leader and representative of the PTO, presides over meetings, works closely with school administration, and helps guide the organization toward its mission and goals.
  • President Elect — Supports the President while preparing to assume the presidency and helps ensure leadership continuity from year to year.
  • Vice Presidents — Four Vice Presidents oversee committee groups: Staff & Student Services, Family Fun, Fundraising, and Enrichment / Engagement. They support committee chairs and serve as liaisons between committees and the Executive Board.
  • Treasurer — Oversees PTO finances, budgeting, reimbursements, financial records, and reporting.
  • Treasurer Elect — Supports the Treasurer while learning PTO financial procedures and preparing for future leadership.
  • Secretary — Maintains official records, prepares meeting minutes, and supports organizational communication and documentation.
  • Communications — Oversees PTO communications, including newsletters, website updates, and other family outreach.

Board members are elected annually and work collaboratively with school administration and committee leaders to support students, staff, and families.
