Once every two years, we gather to celebrate our school’s journey and raise the funds necessary to ensure a "happily ever after" for our students.
The Valley Park Elementary School PTO is thrilled to invite you to our biennial Storybook Gala - a night dedicated to writing the next chapter for Valley Park and a brighter future for our students.
This isn't just a party, it's a vital chapter in our school's success. As one of the PTO's most significant fundraisers, 100% of the proceeds from this event go directly to Valley Park Elementary School, funding classroom grants, technology upgrades, and the student programs that help our children thrive.

Individual Tickets: $75
Includes event admission, buffet dinner and full-service bar.
VIP Reserved Tables: $700
Gather your inner circle for a premium experience! Includes admission for eight, premium reserved seating, priority buffet access, and two bottles of sparkling wine for the table.
Individual tickets are for non-reserved seating at open tables. Tickets are available exclusively online through Sunday, April 5th and will not be sold at the door. This event is expected to sell out, so order your tickets early!

What is the Storybook Gala Auction & Fundraiser?
The 2026 Storybook Gala Auction & Fundraiser is your chance to gather with friends, have fun, and support Valley Park Elementary School! The PTO's biennial auction and fundraiser event serves as one of our primary fundraisers, with all proceeds directly benefitting Valley Park Elementary School.
Who can attend?
All members of the VPE community are invited to attend! We welcome parents, faculty, grandparents, neighbors, and friends - the more the merrier in our book! Since an open bar is provided, all guests must be 21 or older.
How much are tickets and where do I purchase them?
Individual tickets are $75 per person and are only available to purchase on the VPE PTO website through Sunday, April 5, 2026. A limited number of reserved VIP tables are also available to purchase for $700.
What is included in the ticket price?
- Admission to the event
- A buffet-style dinner
- Access to the full-service bar
- Ability to bid on live-auction items
- Music and entertainment by DJ Miles
- Note: individual tickets are non-reserved seats at open tables of (8)
What are the perks of the VIP tables?
By upgrading to a VIP table, you will receive premium reserved seating for (8) guests, priority buffet access, and (2) complimentary bottles of sparkling wine for the table. VIP tables are limited and only available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Can I buy tickets at the door?
No, tickets will not be available at the door. Tickets must be purchased online by Tuesday, April 7, 2026.
Where is the event being held?
The 2026 Storybook Gala Auction & Fundraiser will take place at the beautiful Lodge at Ironwoods (14701 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS 66224).
What is the parking situation?
Event parking will be plentiful and free at the venue.
Will food & be served?
Yes! All guests will enjoy a buffet-style dinner and open bar. For guests with dietary restrictions, please email us to discuss options.
What is the dress code?
Whimsical cocktail - think standard party attire (dresses, blazers, or suits) with a storybook twist! Whether it’s a playful accessory or a color palette inspired by a favorite tale, a subtle nod to your favorite character or tale is highly encouraged. Wear what makes you feel like the protagonist of your own story!
I can't attend, can I still participate and support the PTO?
Absolutely! You don't need to be present to make an impact or win a Silent Auction package! Our Silent Auction is 100% online and open to everyone. Online bidding opens Wednesday, April 8, 2026, and closes Friday, April 10, 2026.
Can I support the PTO without bidding?
Yes, of course. You can help us reach our fundraising goal by making a direct donation on our ticketing page. Every gift helps write a brighter future for Valley Park!
